Welcome to AppleTree Monroe Avenue!
We’re so glad you’re here. Our team of early education experts is eager to meet you. We’re passionate about providing a positive, nurturing, high-quality child care experience your whole family will love. Come see for yourself!
Our school proudly offers Infant, Toddler, Preschool/K-Prep, and School Age programs. Our teachers help children build a great foundation with a meaningful approach to early education. We guide preschoolers to foster kindergarten readiness skills and a lifelong love of learning. And we welcome school-age students before and after school to provide extra resources and learning support.
Our safe, secure classrooms are all designed using a child-centered approach to engage their senses and keep them interested, curious, and excited about learning. Here, children grow their independence and social-emotional maturity in a community-based environment rooted in healthy habits and practical skills.

Hello, my name is Maggie Headd I am the program director at Appletree Monroe. I have worked here for a little over a year and have been in childcare for over 20 years. My spouse and I have six kids of our own and we currently foster anywhere from 2-5 kids at any time. They range from 10-20. When I'm not working, we run a non-profit homeschool varsity football team here in Grand Rapids. We can't wait to have you join the Monroe family.

Hello, my name is Rayne Allen I am the assistant director here at Monroe. I have been in childcare for over 10 years now and this would be my first director position. My husband and I both work at Appletree just in different locations. We have three little boys, two of which go here. If I'm not working, you can usually find me outside because my boys like to keep me busy. We are so excited to have you a part of the Monroe family.
