Welcome to Gilden Woods Okemos!

We’re so glad you’re here. Our team of early education experts is eager to meet you. We’re passionate about providing a positive, nurturing, high-quality child care experience your whole family will love. Come see for yourself!

Our school proudly offers Infant, Toddler, Preschool and School Age programs. Our teachers help children build a great foundation with a meaningful approach to early education. We guide preschoolers to foster kindergarten readiness skills and a lifelong love of learning. And we welcome school-age students before and after school to provide extra resources and learning support.

Our safe, secure classrooms are all designed using a child-centered approach to engage their senses and keep them interested, curious, and excited about learning. Here, children grow their independence and social-emotional maturity in a community-based environment rooted in healthy habits and practical skills.

Kali Wiseman, Director

Hello! My name is Kali Wiseman. I have been in the child care field for twelve plus years. I graduated from Fulton High School and then attended Grand Valley State University for elementary education. I currently live in Ithaca, with my son, Grant. We enjoy spending time with family, gardening, and being outside enjoying the weather. I look forward to getting to know each of the families here and providing a fun educational safe learning environment for each child.

Jacquie Tho-Biaz, Assistant Director

Hello! My name is Jacquie I have been with Gilden Woods since 2019. I graduated from Haslett High School and then got my CDA through Gilden Woods. I started as an Assistant Teacher then continued to grow with in the company and became a Lead Teacher to Team Lead, and now as Associate Director. I am a mom of two and enjoy doing things out doors and going on trips. It's my goal to provide a safe, fun and nurturing environment.
